Kathy joined Hearing Unlimited as a staff hearing aid dispenser in 1994. As an experienced, trained and licensed professional, she takes 16 hours of continuing education classes annually along with specialized manufacturer training. She is a member of the Iowa Association of Hearing Health Professionals. “My intent is to put the patient in charge of their hearing loss and how they wish to improve their communication. I will never pressure a patient, only present to them all of the available options on an individualized basis. Celia Martinez

Hearing Instrument Specialist Trainee

Hi, my name is Celia or Ceci as most call me. I am originally from California and made the big move to Iowa with 3 of my 4 children over the summer of 23′. So far we are enjoying it, but we’ll see how our first winter goes. In my free time I like to spend time with my kiddos and find new fun places to explore.

I have been in the medical field for 12+ years working in both in-patient and outpatient facilities as a phlebotomist. My experience in this field has strengthened my compassion and empathy towards my patients and gave me the ability to understand patients on a different level. I am also working on my Associates degree in Health Science to further my knowledge. Although I am new to the hearing aid industry, I am certain that this shift in careers will be a positive one. And I am excited to see what the future holds.

Very professional, kind, & generous time spent with me. I felt I could ask as many questions I needed as I didn't feel rushed. I'll be back next year.
